Letting Yourself Be Stuck

Letting yourself be stuck sometimes requires a conscious action to refute all conscious actions. This is how the hanged man comes to life. I do not see it as a punishment but more as an assumed action that drives towards realization, meditation and self awareness. Indeed, like the blood flows in the body, the hair turns blue from all the action from the body suspended from the tree. The rope is loose and everything comes to a halt. The color blue is indicative of the receptive nature of the card. Imagine a fly flying near the hanged man. If a fly approached this man and landed on his tunic what other conclusion than "let things come your way" could be drawn?

The branches are cut in a deliberate way, to simplify the life and suspend according to bare necessities. All the metabolic functions of the body are in minimal functioning state. Like a personal computer, the hanged man put himself to sleep. But in a sleep that can be resumed just as fast, for he drew the energy, vision and power to irrigate his upper brain with confidence and shape modelling energy, the kind of energy that models reality itself. When the call arises, he will too, dance to the sowing rhythm of the nameless arcana. He too will plow and seed and nurture a new life. The upside down vision of the world is deliberate and temporary. Like in the image that forms on the retina, he now is more closer to his center, the image of reality burns directly in him.
